Record a live lecture or import a slide deck or audio file. Demist transcribes it, reads it back, explains and translates unfamiliar terms, and builds your glossary, summaries, and flashcards automatically — for students who find lectures harder to follow.

Elasticity of Demand
How sensitive consumer demand is to a change in price or income.
Everything you need. All built in.
Live concept detection
Demist listens to your microphone and flags unfamiliar concepts as your lecturer speaks. Each definition shows on screen, matched to your subject and year.
Automatic glossary
Demist saves every concept with its definition. Your glossary fills itself while you focus on the lecture.
Spaced repetition flashcards
Demist queues each concept as a flashcard and uses SM-2 spaced repetition to schedule reviews at the right time.
AI session summaries
When you stop recording, Demist generates a summary of your lecture. Find it in your history alongside the term list and transcript.
Full session history
Every lecture you record or import is stored with its terms, transcript, and summary. Rename sessions, browse past notes, and come back to anything.
File import
Upload a recording, slide deck, or transcript. Demist pulls every unfamiliar concept and builds your glossary in seconds.
Notion sync
Export your glossary or summaries to Notion in one tap, or import your own lecture notes to extract terms automatically.
Quiz mode
Test yourself on your glossary with multiple-choice or recall questions. A results screen shows what you got wrong so you can retry just those terms.
How it works
Record, import, or paste a link. Demist handles the rest.
Record live or import from anywhere
Tap record before a lecture, or upload a recording or slide deck. No setup, no download. Just open the app.
Unfamiliar terms are explained as they appear
During live recording, definitions pop up on screen the moment your lecturer says something you might not know. For imports, Demist scans the full content.
Your glossary and flashcards build themselves
Every concept is saved with its definition and an AI summary of the session. Flashcards queue with spaced repetition on a schedule built around when you'll forget.
Chrome Extension
Keep your notes open. Terms show in a side panel.
Start recording in Demist, then switch to your lecture slides or notes. The Chrome extension keeps a live panel open on the side showing every term as Demist detects it, without covering your screen.
